You’ll Be Thankful For This Thanksgiving Feast
Here’s a Thanksgiving Feast That You’ll Actually Want To Make
I’m grateful for all the wonderful things in life. I’m thankful for my family, friends, job, the grocery store, and, of course, God. Thanksgiving is not often a time to overindulge in the mushy stuff, but there are definitely some healthful, satisfying parts of this mythic holiday.
It’s easy to overstate the importance of Thanksgiving. We eat roast beef sandwiches and mozzarella sticks on Thanksgiving, but these are not the most impressive dishes. For real feast, Thanksgiving should be a time for feasting and sharing. In this feast, it’s important to remember that the things we store as memories often deteriorated as a child’s organ wasn’t a part of this feast. memories are made from events, and events are made from ingredients, and ingredients are made from locally grown produce, prepared in a low and slow fashion.
Before, we were made to eat the mushy stuff that was once cooked for dinner. So, we grew up accustomed to having turkey and cheese every year, and we’re used to having a microwave for the convenience of cooking. To take advantage of the meaty dishes, we’ve developed a guilty pleasure in the microwave. It’s called the Cheesy Pie, and it’s a real winner.
The Cheesy Pie
One of the best parts of the Thanksgiving meal is the dessert. This is an area where tradition meets innovation, and where tradition meets despair. Many traditional desserts remain popular, such as pumpkin, cranberry, and apple pies. However, the pies have grown stale. While they’re a nice option for the dessert section, they hardly seem to fit into the menus of formal restaurants. This year, those restaurants have been experimenting with lighter menus, and more desserts, to help stem the sinking popularity of the traditional pies.
Lighter menus
One of the biggest arguments for why traditional desserts should be left is the unhealthy nature of some of the dishes served during this holiday meal. Those dishes are often the pies, quiches, and desserts served with the traditional turkey and cheese. While these may appear to be a classy and delicious meal for the Thanksgiving Dinner, they are also a step removed from the tradition of having turkey and cheese covered with gravy and cranberry sauce, which has grown increasingly popular over recent years.
Instead, these lighter menus feature various vegetables, with small portions and an emphasis on fresh foods, such as salad greens, vegetable side dishes, and baked potatoes. Many of these new menus are also gluten-free, as well. This may seem like a hard sell, but it highlights the thinking behind having smaller portions and focusing on fresh foods during Thanksgiving dinner.
It also promotes the idea that people may want to eat less and trade in their heavy dinner habits for a day of thanksgiving, instead of the plethora of 31 Salads for 31 Days.
The world seems to be becoming more and more health conscious. People are looking more critically at the foods they choose to indulge in, and are trading in their trouble getting fixable dinners in exchange for desserts.
Thanksgiving may be a day to celebrate but it’s also a day to eat very little and inspire greatness in your family and friends. How? By training our taste buds for greatness, and shattering the myth that everyone can eat 30 meals in 30 different days.

Thanksgiving may be a day to celebrate but it’s also a day to do things like… Avoid Potatoes.
The average American cooks contains 27 teaspoons of butter, and an astonishing amount of salt (Never mind the salt content, which may be dangerous!)
Afternoon tea is often served, which consists ofBeaux CheeseandCherry picking. No wonder our residents sometimes wear nose rings!
We prepare with WeinersMegaSalad. Usually, two or three scoops of ice cream combined with a tub of French Fries is enough to fulfill our ice cream sundae needs.
Aside from ice cream, we are dependent on lattes almost as much as ice cream itself. When we have a sweet tooth that is hard to ignore, we are forced to share a sundae or two with another person. Along with the ice cream, we may also have a fortune cookie, a pancake, and a bag of Skittles.
Other small, quick meals can be had with chicken nuggets, peripheral vision so as to avoidously packed lunches, and a leg of lamb, too, asparagus or vegetables.
Today, many restaurants offer many other concepts besides a three course seated meal. Kroc’s, a favorite nationwide restaurant chain, has its own “Select” restaurant which offers a limited budget dinner. “Select” typically serves family style dinner meals and is the kind of place where you can enjoy entertainment.
