Remember Your Water During Your Work Day
The human body is made up of 70 percent water, a lot of that water is used daily to maintain health and balance the acid and alkaline levels in body. The brain is about 95 percent water, while the blood is 83 percent. As people sweat during exercise or their work day, sweat is also loss of water. The body’s water supply is about four liters.
Two-thirds of the liquid you lose from your body during exercise has a dehydrating effect so it must be replaced in body fluids, mainly by increased use of the water’s Trace minerals, Vitamin C and Creatine.
The body absorbs Trace minerals just like it absorbs calcium, iron and sodium to maintain electrolyte balance in body fluids, so if you drink anything with electrolytes in it, be it sports drinks, tea, coffee or lime and lemon juice, your body will absorb and process it the same way.
The kidneys, on the other hand, need water to process and detoxify the animal protein and salt you take in everyday. Your kidneys have to run interference on all the working systems to ensure your body stays healthy. They help to cleanse the blood, process and synthesize hormones and enzymes, the blood-clotting factors, the kidney filtration system which removes solid waste from the blood and restores needed fluids to the blood including the kidneys.
It is thought that your body still absorbs too much salt or salt related minerals and too much water – just like the dialysis patient who cannot be as active, or a chronic pain patient who can only function at best with harmful drugs. The body naturally loses electrolytes and needs to be replenished or it changes into a toxin which causes disease and early death. Here are some of the benefits of drinking water, until you have been able to do it for yourself and you have been happy with the results;-
1. Blood plays a more important role in healing than it did before. After being in a state of remission for an extended period, the body needs to be replenished with all the elements that are needed to sustain good health. Water is the perfect fluids to help do this;-
2. Water is the best defense for skin cancer when the sun is at the peak. Surprising but true.-
3. Drinking water relieves and prevents glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.-
4. Water is necessary for fat metabolism. If the kidneys do not work to full capacity, getting enough water will replenish them and help breakdown and remove fat from storage. Water does this by creating new fat deposits and forcing them to the surface for use as energy-
5. Every cell in the body is made up of either water or fat;-
6. Both are needed for the absorption of nutrients into the cell. If you are lacking in water or fat, you can not absorb nutrients and this leads to a malnurishment of your cells. You can get enough of both to sustain good health and have a perfect weight. The average person needs about half the amount of water a person needs to drink to be drinking enough to be healthy.
7. When the weather is cold or when it is hot, your body secretes a hormone that keeps your inner body cool by transporting a cushion of water from the blood stream up to the skin. By doing this, the cold or hot weather reaches your warm body cells first and cools them off.-
8. Water helps to control your appetite.-
9. Water aids elimination.-
10. Your body needs water to help digest foods, and elements in the water such as digestive enzymes help with the breakdown of foods.-
11. Water helps to manufacture new bone tissue for your body to use in later life.
12. Water is a natural diuretic and when your body takes a lot of water, it needs to get rid of it. Your body keeps a running total number of water and there is no definite upper limit. That is why it is estimated that 80 percent of Americans have a slightly elevated body weight. That is why many people believe they are drinking enough when they are not, and many have become addicted to the sugary caffeine drinks. They become dependent on these drinks and then feel bad when they give them up. But guys, today it is more important than ever to drink good clean water. Your body loves watermelon.
